IAAPA 2019: Fun in the Sun with Team Tent and Table

With IAAPA 2019 in full swing, TNT has taken Orlando by storm. Tent and Table is there representing Buffalo New York, the Buffalo Bills, and the industry’s best commercial inflatables, party tents, folding table and chairs, and more!

A Long Time Ago, at an IAAPA 2019 Expo Far, Far Away ...

It’s not often you find yourself turning down an all expenses paid trip to Orlando. Especially not in November, just as winter is starting. And especially not when you live in Buffalo, a city infamous for its harsh winters brought about by band after band of lake effect snow.

But with a newborn baby at home, IAAPA 2019 simply wasn’t in the cards for me this year. And I was okay with not being down there. I mean, I’ve been to Orlando several times. It’s no biggy to miss out, right?

And then my coworker Steve sent me this photo …

The Millennium Falcon at Walt Disney World Resort's Galaxy's Edge, visited during IAAPA 2019

I’m an unapologetic nerd. And that’s the Millennium Falcon, the legendary starship Han Solo and Chewbacca explored the galaxy in. Forget all the other fun stuff my coworkers are doing in Florida this week … It’s the Millennium Falcon!

History’s most famous fictional spacecraft wasn’t at IAAPA Expo 2019, of course. It was at Walt Disney World Resort’s Galaxy’s Edge, which my unfortunate newborn daughter will be dragged to, surely to her chagrin, in the near future.

Of course, Orlando is fun for all people, not just big Star Wars geeks like myself. And the Tent and Table crew has been having tons of fun in Orlando this week, representing our great company and our fantastic products, and the city of Buffalo too. Here are some of Team Tent and Table’s exploits from the road, with more coming this week.

Industry Professionals Flock to IAAPA 2019

Trade show booths at IAAPAThe International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions holds their huge IAAPA Attractions Expo each year in Orlando, Florida at the Orange County Convention Center at 9800 International Drive. And of all the event and party rental trade shows and expos, IAAPA Expo is unquestionably the King.

IAAPA is big. Like, more than 38,600 registered attendees from more than 100 countries worldwide visiting nearly 1,150 exhibiting companies big. The IAAPA Attractions Expo is an event everyone in the event and party rental industry should aspire to attend. The expo is loaded to the brim with special events, product exhibits, speeches, seminars, and all sorts of additional events.

IAAPA isn’t just about event and party rentals. It’s the leading convention for amusement parks, theme parks, water parks, Family Entertainment Centers (FEC’s), zoos, aquariums, parks, and more. You can play cutting edge VR video games and drive exhilarating new go karts. And let's not forget seeing the very best bounce houses and party tents Tent and Table has on offer … with the biggest discounts we offer all year, too.

Visiting IAAPA is a great excuse to visit Orlando in general, too, a city that has a lot to offer beyond just the IAAPA Expo. Disney World, Universal Studios (and the Universal Orlando Resort), SeaWorld Orlando, and the Animal Kingdom are just some of the amazing Attractions you'll find there. And some of the most beautiful beaches in the United States are just a short drive away, too.

Just sitting and watching the water at Lake Eola Park is an incredible experience, with the city skyline painting a gorgeous background. I’ve been there several times and I personally highly recommend making a visit!

Tent and Table’s Fun in the Sun During IAAPA 2019

We’ll surely be talking about the business of IAAPA this week. But today, let’s focus our attention on all the fun our Tent and Table staff are having during their all-too-brief Florida getaway. We should all get to live vicariously through them for just a little while, right?

The first order of business for the TNT staff didn’t happen in Orlando. It happened here ...

The Miami Dolphins faced off against our hometown Buffalo Bills the weekend prior to IAAPA 2019

That’s Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, the home of the NFL’s Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins hosted our Buffalo Bills on Sunday, November 17th. And Tent and Table showed up in force to support our hometown team and showcase our company’s Western New York pride.

TNT weren’t the only Buffalo Bills fans in attendance. Despite being an away game at a stadium nearly 1,400 miles from home, our Bills had a strong show of support from Western New Yorkers.

All of that support paid off, too. The Bills took home an important victory over the Dolphins in a game ending 37 to 20. And we’d like to think some of the people you see in these photos of the Tent and Table team may have had something to do with that!

With the game over, some of the TNT team went out for a night of R&R before the big IAAPA 2019 show. If you watch our videos or see our Facebook live streams, chances are you know some of these fellas.
